Biography
My interest in photography began with my father’s installation of a black and white darkroom in the basement. Most of the equipment was inherited from my grandfather, who had taught printing and graphic arts at Eastern High School. This interest continued for much of my childhood along with an interest in nature. During high school and college I stopped taking photos to pursue other interests. Upon completing graduate school, my interest was revived by a chance meeting at a local orchid show of Dorothy Potter Barnett who, at that time, taught art Lansing Community College. She encouraged me to take some classes at LCC in Photoshop and has encouraged my interest ever since. My photos have been published and I have shown some of my photos at the Lansing Art Gallery and at various shops in the area. Over the last several years, my area of concentration has moved from macro photography to wildlife and landscapes. I have spent many hours on Lansing’s Riverwalk, where I was surprised by the amount and variety of wildlife so close to home.

Wanted LAMALUG Webmaster and President
It is with sadness after 11 years as LAMALUG's Webmaster and something less as LAMALUG's President (I can't recall when I took over), that family commitments force my resignation. If you have any interest in sharing your Mac knowledge with other Mac users and/or Web programming on the Mac, here's your chance. To this point, I've used Adobe GoLive to program lamalug.org, but if you'd like to manage it with some other Mac Web editor, I'm sure you can be accommodated and I'll be glad to help with with the transition. I wish LAMALUG my best and hope to continue to attend meetings whenever possible. Ed Noonan, President/Webmaster
If you're interested in either or both of these positions, please email <board at LAMALUG.org> (sorry I didn't post a link, but we're getting too much spam email - Ed)
