Program: Making Music with GarageBand

When Don Stevens played some of the music he had created in GarageBand (GB), Jonathan Stars was knocked out! Some of Don's compositions were created by playing a keyboard into GB, but it was the pieces that he wrote using just the native GB tools that so impressed Jonathan, because they showed what anyone can do with the program right out of the box
Don and Jonathan will demonstrate what can be done with GarageBand and show you how you can get started making your own brilliant creations immediately without 10 years of conservatory training.

This is a program you don't want to miss!

Don Stevens played drums in rock bands in high school and college. He's a retired IT director for the State of Michigan.

Jonathan Stars was a professional entertainer for 30 years as well as a FileMaker developer and author.

As always, the first half hour of our membership meetings are devoted to Q&A, an opportunity to get all your Mac questions answered.

REGULAR MEETING LOCATION: 205B Arts & Science (A&S) - Lansing Community College. A&S is the 2nd building east of the NE corner of Capitol and Shiawassie - #10 (red) on the map below.


There is an LCC ramp to the NE, a City ramp directly S, a parking lot to the SW, handicap parking on the E side of the building and free on-street parking. Charges are $1/hr in the LCC ramp and $1.50/hr in the City of Lansing's ramp above Gibson's Books & Beans. Students with Star Card IDs pay 20 cents per half hour in the LCC ramp.
